OVERVIEW

Cognitive Lock-In is the ability to enter a deep, distraction-proof focus state on demand and sustain it for extended periods. It is not concentration — it is total mental immersion. The state where time disappears, output maximizes, and performance reaches its ceiling. This protocol teaches you to access it deliberately.

THE PROTOCOL

01

ENVIRONMENT ENGINEERING

Remove all digital interruptions. Phone off or in another room. One tab open. One task visible. Create the conditions for lock-in.

PRIMING RITUAL

5 minutes of box breathing (4-4-4-4). State your single objective aloud. This signals your brain that deep work is beginning.

LOCK-IN BLOCK

90-minute focused work block. No breaks. No checking. If distraction appears, note it and return immediately. Do not negotiate.

RECOVERY WINDOW

20-minute complete rest. No screens. Walk, breathe, hydrate. This restores cognitive resources for the next block.

REVIEW

After each session: what was your depth of focus (1-10)? What interrupted you? What will you eliminate tomorrow?
